PM quarterly cycle (entry guide)

Product Manager

v1.0.0 · openskill-maintainers

Scenario

At quarter boundaries PMs often need **goal alignment, prioritization, PRDs, and stakeholder expectations**. This recipe does **not** mandate an order—use any skill standalone.

Suggested path (optional)

  • **Team-level alignment:** See workflow [quarterly_planning](../workflows/strategy-planning/quarterly_planning.en.workflow.md) (retro, OKRs, risks, comms). If your org already runs OKR rituals, you may only need `okr_writing`.
  • **Flagship bets:** Use `prioritization_rice` (or your framework) to explain "why A first," then `prd_writing`.
  • **Volatile market:** Run `competitive_analysis` as a light snapshot before committing PRD depth.
  • **Many sponsors:** Use `stakeholder_update` for cadence instead of long emails each time.

  • For eng handoffs, add specs from the IC software-engineer folder if present; link skills in PRs as needed.
